Mary has been involved in the fitness, health, and wellness world her entire life. During that time she led multiple programs and taught classes for a variety of exercisers, including cardiac, MS, cancer patients, seniors, and high achieving athletes. The many years of speaking engagements, wellness programming, teaching aerobics, step, and formal dance training, eventually led her to yoga. It was during yoga training that Mary received a call to shift into work that deals with the health of the spirit. Having always been interested in theology, religion, and spirituality, she answered that call by entering seminary . She obtained her Master of Divinity from the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado , with additional classes and internships at Dartmouth College, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover , NH. , and St Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Co. Mary is also certified as a Spiritual Director with the Benedictine Spiritual Direction Program from the Benet Hill Monastery in Colorado.
Mary's life has been enriched with extensive travel; living in Asia, and blessed with multiple trips to Africa, where she was part of several fundraising climbs up Mt Kilimanjaro for various projects in Tanzania. But Peace is always possible.
Mary chose to use the Sanskrit words Shanti-Shanti for this site, which mean Peace-Peace. Internal peace is always possible, no matter what external circumstances are present. Through the spiritual disciplines, The Divine can be reached, where ultimate Peace eternally exists.
